7 Ways to Easily Find Ideas for Blog Posts

Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Virginie from Islagraph to present 7 methods to easily find article ideas for your blog.

When you have a blog , the basis is of course the articles that you are going to offer.

However, what blogger has never asked themselves “But what content am I going to write?”

We all go through this at some point. Whether you’re a beginner and don’t know what types of articles will help you gain traffic , or you’re more advanced and end up running out of ideas, it’s not always easy to know what to publish on your blog .

However, it is not that complicated to find ideas for articles for your blog if you know where to look (and especially how to organize yourself well).

And I suggest we start at the beginning.

The basis for finding blog post ideas: the target audience
When you’re going to write blog posts , it’s not about you… It’s about your target. You need to publish content that will provide value to your reader and give them solutions to implement.

When you are looking for article ideas for your blog , this is the first step you should take.

Normally, you should know your target audience inside out, but if not, here’s what you need to know (when answering these questions, think about your ideal reader):What has he already done to solve these problems? (Here too you will find ideas. For example: “Why x method usually used does not work and what you can do instead.”)
What is your main goal in your field? (In sports, this could be having a daily routine and sticking to it.)
What obstacle does he face in achieving this goal? (New ideas here!)

Each problem, each pain point for your target can generally be divided into several contents. I take the example cited above in the theme of sport.

Your goal is to have a daily routine that is consistent

One of his problems: organizing himself to find time to exercise every day. As ideas for articles for this problem, there are: # ideas for sports sessions that will take you 20 minutes a day, How to manage to find time to exercise every day, # exercises to do while you do your daily tasks, # tips for finding time to exercise, etc. With just one problem, I was able to find at least 4 article ideas.

Once you have managed to put your finger on the pain points that prevent your target from achieving their goal(s), ask yourself how you are going to be able to help them? TADAAA, here you are with relevant article ideas for your blog that will please your target!

Choosing a topic to find good article ideas for your blog
Another method to help you find blog post ideas is to choose a topic (of course in your theme!). It’s not about having a specific idea, if you already had enough ideas, you probably wouldn’t read this article.

For example, for a blog about homeschooling:

SUBJECT: Lesson preparation

ARTICLE IDEAS: X tips for managing lesson preparation for different levels, How I organize myself to prepare my lessons for a term, What tools to use to prepare fun lessons, X sites where to find ready-made lessons for CP, etc.

With this method, I started with a vague subject, then broke it down into several article ideas.

Using Pinterest to Find New Article Ideas
In addition to being a great tool to gain traffic, Pinterest is also a great way to find inspiration and new article ideas . I know, it’s easy to get lost on Pinterest. While you thought you were just going to quickly check something out, you’re still on it 30 minutes later without having done what you were supposed to do (yes, I’ve been there .

So I’m not going to advise you to search through pins (even if you can find ideas there, but I’ll save you time), you’re just going to use the search bar.
Here’s an example for the facial care search, you can find ideas via:

Search suggestions

Finding article ideas with Pinterest
With these first suggestions, I could come up with ideas like: The best institute for a top facial treatment, My top 3 homemade facial treatments, etc.

And here, as new ideas: The facial care routine that gave me a radiant complexion in X days, My natural facial care recipe against blackheads, etc.

Pinterest is a goldmine for you, a way to find new ideas for articles that will have the best chance of being searched for.

Search for blog post ideas on Google
In the same way as for Pinterest, you can use the suggestions that Google offers you.

Taking the example for facial care:

Never run out of ideas again thanks to Google
To get even more results, you write your keywords and add the letters of the alphabet one by one (facial care a, facial care b, etc.).

Google searches for ideas
And of course you have the other questions asked by Google:

Using Google Suggestions for Your Blog

And of course, you do it again for each topic keyword you want to cover on your blog.

Using Answer the Public to Find Keywords (and Blogging Ideas)
You can also use a tool that will do the job for you: Answer the public .

It’s a keyword research tool that will scan the searches made on Google. It will do what I advised you to do just before for you. It’s a paid tool, but you can do 2 searches for free per day. Which is more than enough.

To start, type your keywords in the search bar and don’t forget to select the country and language.

You will then have a multitude of results from which you will only have to draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Any business needs marketing for  indonesia whatsapp number data 5 million promotion and expansion. Times have changed, marketing has changed. Marketing is digitalized now. Organization or product, whatever it is, there is no momentum without marketing. Digital marketing is very specific and can only be marketed to people who want that specific product. Too easy, right?

Search for recurring questions on Facebook groups
I know that after using Answer the Public and finding a ton of ideas, you might be wondering why bother doing anything else? Well, you can never have enough ideas, don’t you think?

You can go to Facebook groups of your theme (where your target is) and pay attention to the questions that may be asked. Ask yourself how you could help people who encounter this or that problem. This is a great way to find out exactly what is causing problems for your target and it will help you to know them better.

If the group rules allow it, you can also promote the great article you have in response to this question.

Using your old blog posts

If you have already written articles for your blog , you can see if there are some things that you have briefly covered that could be covered in more detail in a separate article.

If I take this article for example, I could write a post on “How to use Facebook groups when you have a blog”. This will allow you to add inbound links in each of your articles and keep your visitors on your site longer.

By following these different methods, you should have found a multitude of article ideas for your blog that are just waiting to be used. Now let’s move on to the organization part.

Organize your ideas and prepare your blog’s editorial calendar
It’s great to have a ton of ideas, but you have to find your way around them. To do this, I recommend using Trello, which will allow you to organize your ideas , but also to create your editorial calendar .

For additional written support, I offer you the Blog Planner for free, which will help you better organize your blog. (put your affiliate link)

I offer you a Trello board that I created for you! You can find it on this link: Trello Board .

ATTENTION , before using the table go to the menu at the top right, click on More and then on Copy table . If you don’t do it, everyone will have access to your changes.

Trello Editorial Planning
In this table, you can insert all your ideas and then organize them according to the different categories present on your blog. You can add a checklist that will allow you to follow the different stages of your writing. This will be your writing process. Here is an example:

Checklist for writing your blog articles

And a little tip to avoid having to redo special database targeted  your checklist for each article, you can duplicate the one you have already created:

Add a checklist in Trello
Once you have all your ideas organized into your categories, you can start planning your blog’s editorial calendar .

The first thing to do is to define your publication frequency. I’m not going to tell you that you have to post x times a month. It’s up to you to define what suits you best and what will allow you to be regular in the long term. Because what matters in your blog articles is the quality of your content and regularity. It’s better to publish once a month, than to say to yourself: I’m going to do an article a week, and to give up everything after 3 months.

Once you have chosen your publication frequency

you will need to determine  chine directory the day, because having a defined day will help you better organize your writing. You will know that for a given day, everything must be ready. Once again, you will choose the day based on what is best for you, but I still advise you not to do it on the weekend! It is preferable that it is a day when you will be available at least a little to promote it.

Now you need to have your posting frequency and day . Let’s go back to Trello to organize all of this.

You will choose from your list of article ideas , those that you will use for next month and drag them into the list: Articles of the month. The ideal will be to vary the categories as much as possible.
