When I started out, I was told that if I didn’t show up, I would be penalized, that my business would never take off.
I was told that no one would trust me because people need to see who they are talking to.
Deep down, I didn’t believe it .
I thought that showing myself wouldn’t make me more successful.
So I didn’t listen and continued on my path, never showing my face , my home, my family, or the smallest details of my private life.
Looking back, I know I was right to continue.
And to tell you the truth, I am happy and proud not to have denied my convictions because I am not the only one…
I realize that there are (too) many people who don’t dare to launch their online business because they think they have to show off their private life to succeed.
Through this article, I want to proclaim loud and clear that this is neither an obligation nor a condition for success .
I am living proof and if I could do it, so can you, even if you are a stay-at-home mom, introvert, and/or don’t aspire to be famous.
No need to be stopped in the street. And even less for your every move to be known
And I’ll show you how to do it.
But first, I’ll explain why the choice not to show myself was obvious to me…
Why I chose not to show myself
In everyday life, I would never shout from the rooftops how much I earn (and even less reveal my life to complete strangers). And this for several reasons.
Don’t show me: a question of character
Not showing myself was never really a choice. More of an obvious choice…
I am a modest person.
I always hated being the center of attention.
I’m not someone you would call shy or introverted in that when I’m with a group of friends, I’m more of the one who’s comfortable and makes jokes.
However, put me in front of 10 people to give a presentation, and you will see me melt. Even if I seem
confident and I am rather jovial in everyday life, I can’t do anything about it…
In public, I turn scarlet, I lose my words and I am capable of bursting into tears. When I was in high school, I even skipped classes so as not to give a presentation in front of the whole class.
if I had to do a live performance in front of more than 10 people who could see me lose all my confidence… It would be a real carnage!
Clearly, if I had to show my face, I would never have started an entrepreneurship.
about my business in a “diary” mode. The fact that someone I don’t know personally reads me on the net doesn’t bother me because for me it’s a kind of bubble where I can express myself freely and where I can share what’s on my heart.
My personal life : I want to preserve it. I don’t want to reveal my privacy. This part of my life is the most precious thing to me and I don’t want to share it with people I might meet in “real” life (and who I don’t know).
A few people around me are aware of my activity and unfortunately I have seen certain behaviors change.
Just for that, it confirms to me that to live happily, you have to live hidden.
Show only what I want to show
On the web, I show what concerns my professional activity
From time to time I happen to reveal a little private, like during my travels or my outings in a good restaurant. These moments, I share them on my social networks . But that’s it. You will never see the face of my children, my husband or even mine. Anything that concerns the intimate sphere is never revealed .
My job makes me feel “obliged” to share my daily life as an entrepreneur and my results because it seems important to me to show that what I teach works . But this information is only disseminated on the web.
It is clearly inconceivable to me that my neighbors or any other person around me who is not particularly close to me should know how much I earn or what my activity consists of. I am not ashamed of it (quite the contrary), but I prefer to protect myself from gossip and jealousy.
So some will say that I talk about a lot of personal things about my entrepreneurial journey . And they are right.
But I do it with one single goal in mind: explaining my journey helps inspire other women who don’t know the web and who don’t dare to get started .
I want to help them, encourage them and show them that with motivation and perseverance, it is possible.
By the way, if you want to know how I got started when I knew nothing about online business,
I offer you free training on affiliation

Now that you know everything (or almost everything), I’ll explain how to develop an engaged community and inspire confidence without showing off.
How to succeed without showing yourself?
To succeed without showing off , you’ll need to work harder to show your audience that you’re human.
Digital marketing is a method of india whatsapp number data 5 million communicating products to consumers using internet, mobile phone, social media. The work of marketing is mainly to deliver or inform the people at the right time. Nowadays people spend most of their time online. During the corona period, its durability has increased several times. Digital marketing is an easy and effective way to get your product in front of this huge audience.
And to achieve this, in my opinion there are 5 essential conditions to respect.
#1 Your personality is at the center of everything: use storytelling to succeed without showing yourself
You’ve probably heard it before: your customers don’t buy what you offer, they buy your personality .
Let’s take an example:
You have a doctor’s appointment and you can’t take your children with you. No one around you can look after them. So you decide to hire a nanny that your friends recommended.
The problem is that you have been recommended two and you don’t know any of them. Their prices are identical…
Difficult to choose.
You decide to call them to make a decision.
But… how are you going to choose one over the other?
Her personality, the softness of her voice, the feeling you get when she talks to you about children she has looked after OR just her childcare diploma and/or her experience?
I don’t think I’m wrong when I say that your feelings will make all the difference (yet you have encountered neither).
For you and your online business , it’s the same thing
It’s you, your story and that of your products that people buy. And for that, no need to show yourself ;).
You can convey a lot through your words or voice (especially if you are not comfortable with writing).
Storytelling is one of those powerful techniques that will allow you to inspire confidence with your words (written or spoken) and make others want to follow you.
What is storytelling? It’s about telling a story so that your audience identifies with the values you convey (and not only that).
I explain in more detail in this article which explains how to use storytelling on your website .
#2 Create an avatar to win over your audience
The second condition is to humanize your company (and therefore yourself).
We are human beings and need social contact, but also to associate a face with a person.
Personally, I chose to create an avatar that represents me because I find it to be a very good way to achieve this.
Even though the avatar is not actually me, my audience can associate me with my avatar and will remember me more easily.
I could have just had a logo, but I thought it was too corporate and
impersonal. I didn’t want to shop purposeful create a barrier between me and my audience.
So I chose an avatar because I find that through it, I help my audience visualize who I am, what my values and my lifestyle are.
I make myself more accessible and my audience can recognize themselves in me.
Not having the skills to do it myself, I called on an illustrator.
But I am well aware that when you start out you don’t necessarily have the means to afford this kind of service.
The good news is that you can create your avatar yourself through sites like Get Avataaars , or through the avatar creation feature on your Facebook account .
#3 Interact with your audience
The third condition for humanizing chine directory yourself with your audience is to create a real social bond .
If you don’t talk to anyone, no one will want to approach you. This may seem like basic advice, but I still see too many people not reaching out to their audience. Maybe for fear of disturbing or coming across as a carpet salesman?
Except that in the end, a web business is a bit like everyday life. If you stay “prostrate” in your corner when you hear that people are discovering you, you risk becoming disillusioned because no one will get to know you and appreciate you if you don’t go and meet them.
